A Gift for Our Furiend

We have a best furiend in our 'hood - Miss Mabel Lou from CreekHiker.  We first met Mabel (and her momma) walking on the trails by our stream probably about 9 or 10 years ago.  At least before Bart came into our pack and he's 9. Over the past 5 or 6 years one or more of us has walked with Mabel Lou several times every week, every week, rain or shine.

In a sense, Mabel has helped raise us.  She's taught us the rules; you know, how to be polite, who to bark at, how to treat new dogs, how to respond to dogs behind fences.  In short - she's kinda bossy!!

She's so bossy in fact, that she has been given a nickname by all of us who know and love her:

Queen Bitch of Everything

It's not a derogatory name, just a very apt one…She knows what she wants (and how she wants everyone else to be... BOL!!)

~~~~~
So when Millie and Walter did a post about the custom scarves that their mom creates and sells in her Etsy Shop, Cindy's Thread Craft, we had an idea:
Check it out!
Miss Cindy did such a great job on the scarf!  It's a Crown, adorned with bones and paw prints!!  It's so special and so pretty on Mabel's black furs.  Mabel donned it with her usual good grace and carried it off like the long legged super model rottie/greyhound/lab that she is!!
~~
Oh, and Otto got a scarf, too, cuz well, this is what we all did for my mom and dad - we rescued them!!
Until next time, this is your fashion reporter,
Ruby
That is such a funny and perfect scarf that you got for your friend Mabel Lou.
And, I think that maybe my dogs need "rescue" scarves since they rescued me!
Happy New Year to you, my friends.
LOVE the scarves! They really are perfect, and the colors of your coat make them really stand out!
And we have a friend or two that have that 'same name.' One even resides in our house! :-)!
That's a fantastic scarf....and not everyone could pull it off with grace and dignity. Sounds like Mabel is a true Queen!
Glad you rescued your Mum and Dad...no telling what they'd be like without you.
Of course we also love this post! They both look great in their scarves. Miss Mabel Lou is a special girl and our mom was honored to make her scarf for her. Thanks for sharing this story.
I thought Cindy looked a little thin and long legged for a Rottie.. thanks for the info.. of course all 3 of you are beautiful and could be models and are models with the new scarves. we don't call Baby Girl Queen Bitch, we call her DB short for Demanding Bitch
The scarves are fantastic and so is Mabel :) How awesome to have been friends with Mabel and her Mum for so long! I wonder what Beryl would think if I started calling her Queen Bitch instead of Princess?? I think her reaction might be a little bitchy, lol!
