I Love Water, Too - by Ruby

Hi everybody!  As you know, Reilly at Cowspotdog is having a contest about why you love or hate water.  My brother Bart did a post, but I want to show you what I can do, too, OK?

So on Sunday, me and Gizmo took Mom for a walk for Mother's Day.  She's been pretty good this year.

We got her some flowers:

Then we let her take some Yucca pictures.  She's obsessed!!

THEN, the best part!
She watched me Body Surf!
If you can't open the video, click here.

I LOVE doing that!!  I can do it over and over again!  The first time I did it, I sort of scared myself, butt now I go out to the deepest part of our stream and just float downstream.  AAAHHHHHHH!!!

Wow, Ruby - you guys are a regular "water doggie family"! Hsin-Yi thinks maybe I need to come and stay with you - sort of like summer camp for Water-Scaredy-Doggies - ha! ha!

I'm full of envy! The gators are keepin' my Human from lettin' me in the water this year. Normally in this heat I'd be gettin' my exercise in the wet stuff.

Glad you are having fun swimming, Ruby, it is such a good thing to do. I love the flower pics on your blog, too.

If you run out of places to swim where you live, come to visit in Minniesnowda, The Land of 10,000 Lakes!

In such a fast water I have been swimming before. Applause!
Mom admiring the beautiful plants in the desert. She has never seen the desert bloom. It is fantastic! You will always travel in September / October. Since the desert is sparse and most often it is burning in the mountains

Wheee, the body surfing looks great. Frankie should try that instead of swimming across the current.

I love the yucca photos. I wish mine would flower, but they are different to these ones and maybe they never will.

Firstly, that was very nice of you to take your mom for a walkie and let her take pictures of boring old plants. Okay, okay, I guess they're pretty but, really...plants?

I'm very much in awe of your body surfing abilities. I can't get in the water cuz, well, you know that brindle furs will wash right off if you get 'em wet.

Those are great flowers y'all found for your Mom. Wild looking! Hope she kept her distance while shooting the agave. Dang things are so sharp they'd make a porcupine put up a white flag ;P
