We're Overwhelmed!

Thank you all so much for giving us such a warm welcome in Blogville. What fun to hear from dogs we know well as well as some new friends. So fun!!

We thought it would be good to continue letting you know a little more about us to give you some context. Our human parents are sort of rottweiler nuts!! Ruby is like the 6th rottie they've had. So, yeah, they like big, smart, pushy, bossy doggies who are also loving and loyal and very sweet. (and sneaky and too smart for anyone's own good.)

So we think you should meet Princess Allie. She's an angel doggie like Miss Dakota and  Mr.  Max and we still feel her presence every day because she helped Mom raise Gizmo and Bart because they were a handful until they turned 2 and magically became good (a relative term) dogs.  The "C" monster took beautiful Princess Allie very quickly in October, 2009.

this is beautiful princess allie

this is gizmo and bart being depressed after allie crossed the bridge

this is gizmo and bart a few months later in our creek feeling happier

this is the 'looking for a forever home' poster mom saw in a pet store in mid-march

And that beautiful face won her heart.  She called the rescue lady and Ruby came to live with our family on Allie's Birthday, March 29!!  It was a wonderful and unintentional circle.

here we all are scoring the jerky from dad.  YUMMERS!!

We think Mom needs to fix our eyes before she posts pictures of us in the future...

Hey there guys...
It sure is nice to have you in bloggie land and I wish that you go from strength to strength. Thank you for telling us about your sweet Princess Allie. So many doggies have to fight and suffer this dreadful "C" thingy. It's rather scary. But thankfully we all have so much to live for, don't we!
So guys...Live to the Max!
Sending lotsaluv to you all
(and lotsalicks from Toby too)

Your angel sister Allie sure was most beautiful. But even though they leave us, love never dies. It lives on and on, forever and ever, in our hearts. And there it stays, safe and warm.

Big slurps from a little dog, HoneyBuzz

Pee.S. - Laser eyes are most impawtant! They can spot skwhirls high in the trees and beam them into outer space!! Never get rid of laser eyes!!

Miss Allie must have met up with Miss Dakota right after our sweetie crossed. We bet they are the best of furiends now.

Mom tries to fix our eyes too, but we like them best when they are googly or devilish.

We didn't know you had a blog now, Mom was so very happy that you commented on mine. We will be following you now and are excited to hear about your adventures. Mom used to have a babysitter who had rotties and they would play puppies with her and didn't get bothered at all! Mom says that she is sorry about Allie but think of how you got to rescue Ruby!

Nothing concentrates the mind like a good treat! That's sure true for us. We've never met any rotties, but mama has and she says they're wonderful doggies who sometimes get a bum rap, like pitties, out of breed prejudice by ignorant people. Mama's life was filled with Great Danes before us, so she relates to finding a breed that speaks to your heart and sticking to it. How she got to us is another story, but as rescues from kill "shelters" we're very glad she found us in time.

We're sure Miss Allie is looking down and smiling on all of you. We sure feel the protective love of dozens of Great Danes we never even met. We like learning about the angel dogs, because they helped form the people our humans have become, which in turn affects our lives enormously.

Thanks for telling us more about you all. If your Mom manages to fix that eye thing, please can she tell Gail how. (I look like a total alien in some of the photos she posted over Christmas!)

PS That creek looks an interesting place to explore. We love seeing photos of the landscapes around where our blogging pals live.

Isn't it amazing how God brought another rottie into your life at the very moment when you felt so lonely and depressed after losing Allie to cancer? What a heartwarming adoption story but what a sad thing to lose your lovely Allie too!
We are your newest followers all because your pals, Lucy the Donkey, and Minna Krebs introduced you to us!

Hi Guys,
The Sibes, Phantom, Thunder and Ciara sent us. Nice to meet you. We have what Mom calls the good dog faerie that is supposed to come when a dog turns three and make him into a good boy. Fudge will be six in February and we're still waiting. We think the faerie got lost.
