Late Summer Sky

So yesterday evening, after it started to cool off, we headed down to the creek to meet up with Mabel Lou and our other creek buddies.

Look at what we saw!!!

The publicist took these with her iPhone!!

Can you tell it's a double rainbow?

It was like we got a gift.

On our way back to the car, it started to lightning.
So I'm playing it safe!

Hope you have a great week!

Love,
-Bart

  2. We had a loud clap of thunder and Summer stood up, fur standing up, and gave a seriously scary bark. Like "not in my house"! My hero!

  3. Gorgeous sky! Thanks for sharing!!

I am very familiar with the "dog in the shower" look.... Spike HATES water and baths until a storm comes along, then he hides either in the tub upstairs or the shower downstairs. Just depends on where I am. Sad!! Ah well, our stormy thunder season is nearly over so there shouldn't be much more hiding for the boy.

    Have a great week!

  8. What a magical sky! Looks like a rainless rainbow. We're having a rainbowless rain for 5 days.

We're so very sorry to read about your friend, Lily's, bone cancer. Mama lost 2 female Danes to bone cancer and it really sucks. We will certainly keep our paws crossed for her.

  24. Wow, Bart, those are gorgeous photos of the rainbow over the mountain. I feel like I was there. It was a gift... My best dog friend outside our family died this weekend so I'm taking it as a sign that he made it to the bridge. I miss him already. He visited us several times a week for 8 years so he was like part of our family.

  33. I have never had a dog that was afraid of thunder and lightening!! Never yet, that is. Funny I wonder why??
When I first had Bambi we had a tornado, and that tornado lifted the house up with us in it and set it down again. We were not hurt and she never got afraid of storms!!! She was so special!!!
