  22. Last year, during a vacation in the desert, I read a warning to mountain bikers not to fall on yucca because it can kill you. I guffawed. Then, I touched the end of one those razor sharp leaves. It might be true!

    Gizmo looks awesome!

  32. We love the snow, but Mom is jealous of desert-y pictures. She grew up in a ginormous desert, and still longs for warm places where things like that grow! (Actually, nothing like that grew in Saudi Arabia, but she still likes deserts!)

  39. Hi! Thanks for stopping by. We have so much rain in Portland, that I HAVE to love it. Well, at least the mud-puddles it leaves behind. But, it doesn't rain that much in LA, so I can see why your bro didn't want his paws wet! The high desert has it's own charm though (Mom lived there once). We have a few yucca here, but nothing a spectacular as that one!

  40. I loved you blue slipper story. That is very true. Our first cat got totally bent out of shape when I bought new rugs to put in front of the sink and fridge....
I just love all furbabies they add so much to our lives.

  44. I am so thrilled to find a new Rottie blog!! It seems there aren't that many and your Rottie's are gorgeous. We lost our big girl in September, so our blog is all about the Cav's now, but I am a Rottie girl at heart. The lessons we learned from her are still on our blog any time before 9/8/2010, we would love to have you visit us! My next dog will be a Rottie, and I can't wait for the day a big goof of a Rottie girl fills our home again. Until then I just live vicariously through all the pics and stories I can find online.LOL

(I can't sign in w/ our current URL so I'll leave it here, hope thats ok! http://www.lessonsfrom4legs.com)
