Most of the yucca have bloomed and died, and yesterday we saw this guy:

    Those spikes are gorgeous! What are they? The "leftovers" from the yuccas? We have some natives here that just bloom once a year or even less frequently and with just one flower spike like that. Always something to look forward to.

    Those plants that shoot up these amazing blooms and then die are amazing. We had an agave that did that.

    I like bandanas too. They are comfortable and fashionable as well. Much better than those crazy Halloween costumes!
